Mudshirt

Dutch summers are unpredictable and quite rainy from time to time. The Dutch love to complain about that fact. That’s why MUDSHIRT started silk- screen printing a T-shirt collection with local mud (which will survive the washing machine).

A T-SHIRT SILKSCREEN PRINTED WITH LOCAL MUD

The designs on the shirts are in collaboration with talented Dutch illustrators. That’s why MUDSHIRT is your typical Dutch souvenir. The shirts are silkscreen printed on demand and at the location with a mobile silkscreen shop inside of a cargo bike.

Reclame Ridders

ReclameRidders gives creative masterminds the possibility to share their vision on the advertising branch with the new generation. The goal is to challange young creatives to form their own vision.

What started as an alternative of a thesis grew to become an organisation which is organising events a couple times a year and writing opinion articles. I started ReclameRidders together with Martijn Lankveld and passed it over to a couple of young and eager students. Last year I did the design of the identity as well as the images which were used for the events.

Since the events are targeted on young talent, we used playmobil figures to illustrate our topics in a clean and graphical way.

A gay goodbye

Together with Cinerama and Martijn Lankveld, I organized another movie night. This time in honor of actor and professional joker Robin Williams. Not a mourning ceremony, but a celebration of his life. For this occasion we screened The Birdcage and a special guest, the founder of the official Robin Williams fanclub, reflected on Robin’s life and the story behind that characteristic smile of his. I was also responsible for the visual identy that was developed for the event. The portrait of Robin Williams is based on the two sides of the character he plays in the movie The Birdcage and resembles the two-sided life of the actor.
